Job summary

Baxter seeks an Engineering Specialist, Facilities and Critical Systems, to ensure reliability and compliance of pharmaceutical facilities and utilities across the global network. You will apply engineering standards, support capital projects, and collaborate with site engineers to optimize performance.

The role requires extensive expertise in facility and utility systems, regulatory awareness, and leadership to guide cross-functional teams across locations. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with pharmaceutical facilities and utility systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, 21 CFR, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engineering standards and guidance documents for facilities, utilities, and capital projects.
• Provide technical support and SME for pharmaceutical facility and utility systems.
• Review facility designs, engineering studies, and project plans for alignment with standards and regulatory expectations.
• Support manufacturing sites in planning and execution of facility upgrades and improvement projects.
• Evaluate facility and utility system performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Monitor industry practices and regulatory changes and update standards.
• Develop and maintain project documentation standards (SOWs, URSs, BODs).
• Participate in project gate reviews and capital planning activities.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
