Job summary

The Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Controls Engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor will manage, maintain, and enhance ICS for gas and chemical processes. You will review vendor packages, support integration, and coordinate startup with Equipment Engineering and O&M teams.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI programming, SCADA troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable operation of GCS equipment. A BS in engineering and 2+ years’ experience are required; on-site work in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of Controls/Automation experience.
• Immediate availability.
• Understanding and Programming knowledge of PLC, HMI and Electro-Mechanical Sensors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain normal operation of GCS equipment.
• Work with GCS Ops/Process team to make changes or create PLC, HMI programs.
• Support GCS Projects team with new equipment integration.
• SCADA troubleshooting.
• Support controls techs for their day-to-day job.
• Work with Equipment vendors to review/approve new equipment install and improve existing equipment.
