Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Sr Engineer, Fixed Equipment, to lead mechanical solutions for critical refinery equipment at the Wood River site in Roxana, IL. You will guide design, installation, and maintenance, ensuring reliability and safety while working with inspection, operations, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in the energy industry.
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• Willing to obtain a TWIC and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical solutions for fixed equipment.
• Analyze challenges, develop equipment specifications, and oversee installation and maintenance.
• Manage troubleshooting projects, perform root cause analyses, and suggest improvements.
• Create detailed drawings and guide major equipment rebuilds with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as a technical resource for mechanical integrity assessments and investigations.
• Promote adoption of new technologies and maintain knowledge of codes and standards.
• Develop and review repair plans and ensure proper training for team and contractors.
• Foster safety, continuous improvement, and reliability of refinery assets.
