Job summary
Phillips 66 is seeking an Instrument Engineer for the Wood River Refinery in Roxana, IL. You will help keep refining units running safely, reliably, and efficiently through high‑quality instrumentation and control solutions, contributing to the design, operation, and improvement of instrumented systems with operations, maintenance, and project teams.
You will provide technical support, assist in design review and field verification, support turnarounds and startup troubleshooting, and maintain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 1+ years of relevant engineering experience in energy, petrochemicals, manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
- Willing to obtain TWIC and valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on instrumentation systems for assigned refinery units to ensure safe, reliable operations.
- Contribute to design, review, and field verification of instrument design packages and documentation.
- Support turnaround and maintenance activities including scopes, installation, commissioning, and startup troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve instrumentation problems using root-cause analysis and implement improvements.
- Maintain instrumentation documentation, criticality rankings, and spare parts strategies.
