Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Instrument Engineer for the Wood River Refinery in Roxana, IL. You will ensure safe, reliable operations by delivering instrumented solutions and supporting design, operation, and turnaround activities.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, 1+ year of relevant experience, and the ability to work with IEC/ISA/API standards. Travel up to 5% and on-site work at the refinery are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in energy, petrochemicals, manufacturing, or similar.
• Willing to obtain TWIC and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on instrumentation systems for assigned refinery units.
• Design, review, and verify instrument design packages and documentation.
• Support turnaround and maintenance activities, develop engineering scopes and coordinate installation.
• Identify and resolve instrumentation and analyzer problems using root-cause methods.
• Plan and execute small instrumentation-related maintenance and projects.
