Job summary

Textron Aviation is seeking an experienced Engineer Customer Svc-Sr for the Pistons Team in Wichita. You’ll provide technical assistance to customers, coordinate between engineering, marketing and field ops, and prepare technical proposals for field issues.

The role requires extensive maintenance and avionics knowledge, strong communication, and readiness to travel for on-site support and training events across service centers and partner networks.

Qualifications

• 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience with A&P license or 2-year technical degree.
• 9 years of maintenance experience as an Avionics Technician or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in aircraft structural repair or customer support.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical, diagnostic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to questions about maintaining and operating Textron Aviation aircraft.
• Organizes and prepares technical data and problem summaries for internal teams.
• Maintains a technical file of product improvements and production changes.
• Collects and analyzes discrepancy reports and coordinates corrective actions.
• Acts as liaison between customer and Textron Aviation on issues.
• Provides on-site technical assistance at service centers when needed.
• Participates in audits of contracted training curricula for current data.
• Prepares and presents technical programs for operator conferences.
• Coordinates with Supplier Quality to improve reliability of installed equipment.
