Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking an OBD Gasoline Engine Controls Development Engineer to develop and enhance control algorithms for gasoline engines, coordinating with systems and calibration teams to meet regulatory and performance requirements.

You will validate designs in virtual and physical environments, provide technical guidance, and ensure robustness through the V-model software development process, while delivering timely results within program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent knowledge of internal combustion engines.
• Knowledge of modern and classical control principles.
• Experience in data acquisition, including collecting and processing data.
• Working knowledge of engine development, emissions development, engine technologies, and competitive products.
• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and enhance existing control algorithms for gasoline engines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement strategies.
• Validate designs against requirements in virtual and physical environments throughout production.
• Provide technical guidance and training, acting as an expert in the field.
• Develop plans, track progress, and present technical reports to management and project chiefs.
• Contribute to control strategy design decisions to meet functional objectives.
