Liberty Mutual is seeking a Senior Underwriter to independently underwrite energy accounts in North America, handling complex risks across oil & gas, pipelines, power generation and renewables. You will make data-driven accept/decline and pricing decisions within delegated authority.

You will manage broker relationships, provide portfolio insights, and collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Engineering and Legal teams while mentoring junior underwriters and representing the company at industry

Formación

• Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
• A minimum of 2.5 years, typically 3 or more years, of progressive underwriting experience and/or other related experience.
• CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
• Proven analytical ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks across complex energy lines.
• Ability to define and implement underwriting processes and workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a portfolio of brokers/agents and clients; source and underwrite profitable energy business.
• Assess technical exposures using loss histories, engineering data, and modelling; set terms, limits, and reinsurance needs.
• Provide portfolio analytics to inform pricing, appetite and marketing plans.
• Maintain broker relationships and articulate coverage differences and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Engineering, Legal and UW Support; mentor junior underwriters.
