Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks a senior leader to oversee Risk Engineering across the US and Latin America, with an emphasis on onshore energy and construction. The role coordinates with Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance and Product Line Management to align strategy, standards, and client service delivery.

You will lead a regional team, manage priorities and budget, and engage with brokers and clients at conferences and in technical discussions, with regular travel to market sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline (e.g., Chemical, Process, Electrical, Mechanical).
• 10+ years of energy industry experience (oil, gas, petrochemical, etc.).
• 10+ years in insurance with relevant lines of business.
• Experience managing or leading a team and partnering across functions.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and delivery of bespoke client service plans through client engagement, survey strategy, and coordinated service delivery.
• Represents Liberty Risk Engineering with brokers, clients, and industry stakeholders, articulating Liberty’s value proposition and supporting opportunities.
• Leads engagement with regional Heads of Broker Risk Engineering to strengthen relationships and market visibility.
• Oversees survey and inspection strategy for the regional team, including on-site surveys and risk appraisals.
• Provides regional leadership for the US and Latin America Risk Engineering team across assigned lines, with focus on energy and construction.
