Job summary

Ferrovial Energy US is seeking a Senior Project Development Manager for Energy Storage Technologies to originate, develop, evaluate, acquire, and advance utility-scale storage opportunities across the U.S. and Canada, including lithium-ion, thermal, iron-based storage, and vanadium redox flow systems.

This role supports standalone storage, hybrid renewables, and data center energy solutions. The position is based at Ferrovial Energy US headquarters in Austin, TX, working with the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead for standalone energy storage, hybrid renewable-plus-storage, and data center-related energy infrastructure opportunities, coordinating internal cross-functional teams and external consultants across development, interconnection, permitting, land, engineering, finance, legal, commercial, construction, and asset management workstreams.
• Originate, screen, and advance energy storage projects across multiple technologies, including lithium-ion batteries, thermal storage, iron-based storage, vanadium redox flow batteries, and other emerging short-duration and long-duration storage solutions.
• Evaluate market applications for storage projects, including resource adequacy, capacity, ancillary services, congestion management, renewable integration, curtailment mitigation, resiliency, microgrids, tolling structures, data center power solutions, and customer-specific energy needs.
• Lead site identification and project development activities, including land control, permitting strategy, environmental review, stakeholder outreach, community engagement, utility coordination, interconnection strategy, transmission review, and project schedule management.
• Support commercial, technical, and financial modeling for storage projects,
