Job summary

Ferrovial Energy US is seeking a Senior Project Development Manager – Energy Storage Technologies to originate, develop, evaluate, acquire, and advance utility-scale storage opportunities across the U.S. and Canada from our Austin, TX headquarters.

You will work with finance, engineering, legal, and commercial teams to build a differentiated storage pipeline. You will lead due diligence, develop partner relationships, and prepare investment materials for executive decisions, driving grid

Qualifications

• Engineering, finance, economics, or related degree required or equivalent experience.
• 6 to 9 years in energy storage, renewables, or related roles.
• Experience with utility-scale storage development and data center infra preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project lead for standalone energy storage, hybrid renewable-plus-storage, and data center-related energy infrastructure opportunities.
• Originate, screen, and advance energy storage projects across multiple technologies.
• Evaluate market applications for storage projects, including resource adequacy and renewable integration.
• Lead site identification, permitting strategy, environmental review, stakeholder outreach, and interconnection strategy.
• Support commercial, technical, and financial modeling for storage projects.
• Prepare executive-level briefs, investment materials, and risk assessments for senior management.
• Support M&A, project acquisitions, co-development, and joint venture opportunities.
• Develop and manage partnerships with technology suppliers, developers, utilities, data center customers, and financial partners.
• Coordinate requests for information, proposals, bids, and consultant work products related to storage development.
• Track storage technology trends, policy developments, and market rules in ISO/RTO regions.
