Job summary

SB Energy, a leading infrastructure company backed by SoftBank Group and Ares Infrastructure, seeks a Sr. Energy Storage Engineer to lead design, optimization, and permitting of utility-scale storage projects. You will guide cross-functional teams, review EPC deliverables, and ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and local codes, while advancing energy storage across the organization.

This remote-capable role offers broad impact on grid reliability and sustainable energy delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in utility-scale BESS projects.
• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree; MS and PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, optimization, and permitting of utility-scale BESS projects.
• Review EPC deliverables and drive design optimization.
• Coordinate with utilities, AHJs, and EPCs during construction and commissioning.
