Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks a Senior Project Development Engineer for the federal market to help grow our Energy Solutions practice. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in HVAC design and energy projects and is capable of leading multi-discipline teams from site visits through commissioning.

You will articulate CMTA's performance contracting approach to clients, supervise audits and energy modeling, direct the engineering team, and coordinate with construction and M&V staff

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy services or federal consulting/commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Familiarity with DOE/Army Corps IDIQ contracts or related federal requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Explain performance contracting to potential clients.
• Lead development phase with site visits, audits, energy calculations, etc.
• Direct the engineering design team producing drawings and specifications.
• Direct the bidding process and develop the final contract.
• Coordinate with construction manager for the implementation period.
• Direct the commissioning process and involvement in warranty phases.
• Collaborate with M&V to develop the first-year M&V report.
