Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. seeks a Senior Energy Solutions Development Engineer based in New Jersey (flex/remote) to support SBT project development across North America.

You will lead central plant design and optimization, provide engineering support to the sales team, and influence customers toward Honeywell solutions. You will generate life cycle cost analyses, perform energy calculations for CHP systems, and develop detailed scope of work for internal and external use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience with central heating/cooling plants and CHP systems.
• Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, hydronic/steam systems.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Knowledge of ASME, NFPA, UFC and international mechanical codes.

Responsibilities

• Understand thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Develop energy-saving calculations and life-cycle cost analyses.
• Lead central plant design and optimization projects across North America.
• Engage with customers and present technical briefings.
• Travel approximately 30%.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.
