Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. seeks a Senior Energy Solutions Development Engineer in New Jersey with flex/remote options to support SBT project development across North America. You will focus on central plant design and optimization for public, federal, and commercial markets, advising sales teams and customers.

You will influence customers toward Honeywell solutions, mentor engineers, and engage in pursuit strategy, cost analyses, and negotiations while traveling about 30% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with central heating/cooling plants and CHP systems.
• Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and hydronic/steam systems.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Knowledge of ASME, NFPA, UFC, and international mechanical codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead central plant design and optimization projects across North America.
• Provide engineering support for sales teams and customer consultations.
• Develop lifecycle cost analyses and saving calculations for proposed solutions.
• Create comprehensive scope of work documents for internal/external use.
• Travel approximately 30% to engage with customers and sites.
