Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Senior Energy Solutions Development Engineer based in New Jersey (flex/remote) to support SBT project development across North America. You will engage in central plant design and optimization, supporting sales teams with engineering expertise.

The role includes mentoring engineers, developing cost analyses, and driving customer-focused solutions while navigating regulatory and energy markets. Occasional travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience with central heating/cooling plants and CHP systems.
Professional Engineering (PE) license.
Knowledgeable of ASME, NFPA, UFC, and international mechanical codes.

Responsibilities

Understand thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid systems.
Read P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings.
Develop conceptual schematic designs and cost estimates.
Analyze energy consumption of central plants and CHP systems.
Prepare life-cycle cost analyses for projects.
Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional teams.
Travel ~30% for site visits.
