Job summary

Willdan Performance Engineering seeks a Senior Construction Manager to oversee multiple energy retrofit projects in Southern California. You will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules, and ensure design-phase input and cost control.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering/construction management and 4–6 years of experience in construction means and methods; PMP/OSHA 30 and travel are a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or other construction related field.
• 4-6 years total professional experience in field operations and construction means and methods.
• Knowledge of construction processes; ESCO design and commissioning knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide valuable cost and constructability input during the design phase.
• Coordinate the bid process, including the pre-bid walkthrough.
• Manage Subcontract administration and preparation of Subcontract Agreements.
• Coordinate submittal process.
• Schedule, supervise, and coordinate Subcontractor activities; lead meetings between subcontractors, Willdan and Owner.
• Ensure construction progresses as scheduled and update three-week and overall schedules.
• Ensure adherence to specifications; act as liaison between subcontractors and engineers; maintain quality control and safety practices.
• Provide assignments and mentorship to project staff.
• Manage project cost control and forecasting; provide monthly cost vs. budget reports.
• Maintain Construction Management Software per company guidelines.
