Job summary

Willdan is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee mid-sized energy retrofit projects in Southern California. The role demands a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and 4–6 years of field experience. You will lead subcontractors, manage schedules and cost control, and ensure safety and quality across projects for diverse institutional clients. Willdan provides ESCO design and energy services expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in field operations and construction means and methods.
• Knowledge of the construction process; ESCO design/commissioning is a plus.
• Experience leading teams, managing schedules, and working with subcontractors.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain client relationships.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost and constructability input during design.
• Coordinate the bid process and pre-bid walkthrough.
• Manage subcontract administration and submittals.
• Schedule, supervise, and coordinate subcontractors and meetings.
• Maintain project schedules (three-week and overall schedules) and ensure on-time completion.
• Ensure compliance with design/specifications and safety practices.
• Mentor project staff and manage cost forecasting and reporting.
