United Grid Solutions is seeking a Project Manager II to oversee complex engineering and construction projects in the energy sector. You will ensure on-time delivery, manage safety, quality, and cost, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet client expectations.

Responsibilities include leading project teams, developing specifications, communicating status, and ensuring regulatory compliance while building client trust and maintaining project controls.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or relevant discipline.
• Understanding of substation electrical engineering, transmission line engineering or PM experience in the energy industry.
• Preferred substation experience with substation system protections.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and direct project workflow for internal and external initiatives with all stakeholders.
• Communicate project status to management and stakeholders.
• Develop project specifications and implement practices to achieve defined objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Maintain expected levels of quality control.
• Meet all project schedules.
• Utilize project resources efficiently.
• Identify potential project problems or opportunities and develop optimal mitigation strategies.
• Ensure understanding of scope of work and contract requirements.
• Support or conduct client/project presentations.
• Maintain regular communication with management on key issues and resolutions.
• Demonstrate command of schedule goals and milestones.
• Build client confidence and relationships.
• May serve as Proposal Manager for medium-to-large projects.
• Travel to customer offices and job sites as required.
• Identify and ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing and state requirements.
• Coordinate development of work-hour estimates with Project Controls for engineering cost estimates.
• Conduct internal and external meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals.

Formation

High school degree or GED

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or other relevant discipline

Understanding of substation electrical engineering, transmission line engineering or PM experience in the energy industry
