Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join its Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice in Norcross, GA. You will oversee environmental reports, permitting, and multi-disciplinary teams for energy projects, ensuring quality and profitability across engagements.

The role requires 10–15 years in environmental planning with NEPA and USACE/USFWS experience, plus strong client management and business development capabilities to advance TRC Sector Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in biology or a related field (ecology, wildlife biology, environmental science, etc.).
• 10 to 15 years of experience managing environmental planning, permitting, and licensing projects with a focus on energy projects.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage clients.

Responsibilities

• Support growing energy practice by managing environmental reports and permitting.
• Maintain quality and profitability on TRC projects.
• Develop budgets, scope, and schedules; monitor adherence.
• Lead requests for proposals with technical teams and market directors.
• Manage medium to large multi-disciplinary projects and client relationships.
• Lead NEPA-related environmental planning and permitting efforts (USACE, CWA, ESA).
• Mentor staff on technical delivery and project financials.
• Support business development for environmental planning and OneTRC services.
