Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP, seeks a Project Manager for its Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice in Baton Rouge, LA. You will manage environmental reports and complex field and desktop assessments, and lead NEPA and permitting efforts across energy projects.

The role emphasizes profitability, client management, and cross-disciplinary teamwork, with about 25% travel. A BS/BA in biology or related field and 10–15 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science/Arts in biology or a related field.
• 10 to 15 years of experience managing environmental planning, permitting, and licensing projects with energy focus.
• Strong client management, leadership, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support energy practice as Project Manager for environmental reports and permitting.
• Maintain quality and profitability on TRC projects.
• Develop budgets, scope, and schedules; monitor adherence.
• Lead RFQ responses with technical teams, operations, and directors.
• Manage medium to large multi-disciplinary projects and client relations.
• Lead NEPA environmental assessments and environmental statements.
• Lead USACE wetland/stream delineations and CWA Section 404 permitting.
• Lead state and local permitting efforts.
• Mentor staff on technical delivery and project financials.
• Sell environmental planning and permitting services and OneTRC offerings.
• Travel ~25% of work time.
