Job summary

TC Energy is seeking an Environmental Permitting Analyst to lead permitting strategies for major natural gas projects across development and construction phases. You will coordinate with legal, engineering, and project teams to ensure compliant NEPA reviews and regulatory submissions, while managing schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (or related field) required.
  • Seven+ years of experience in environmental permitting or compliance for interstate projects.
  • Experience with NEPA, FERC proceedings, and federal/state permitting processes.
  • Strong knowledge of NGA, NEPA, CWA, ESA, NHPA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental permitting strategy for natural gas projects from development through construction.
  • Serve as environmental SME on FERC Section 7 projects and NEPA reviews.
  • Coordinate with counsel, project management, engineering, and construction teams on regulatory strategy and risk management.
  • Develop and manage permitting schedules, budgets, and scopes aligned with permit timelines and milestones.
  • Oversee field investigations, surveys, and monitoring programs, including consultants and contractors.
  • Coordinate preparation and review of environmental reports and inputs for FERC applications and data requests.
