Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a highly experienced Natural Resources Project Manager to drive projects from planning to construction in a remote, Georgia-based role. You will lead field teams, coordinate natural resources, cultural resources, and permitting services, and ensure compliance with permits and budgets across a range of energy, infrastructure, and development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field or equivalent experience.
• Four years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in natural resources or permitting.
• GA permitting experience.
• Two years of project management or client-facing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a project manager or task lead on projects of varying size, ensuring budgets, schedules, safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams delivering natural resources, cultural resources, and permitting services.
• Supervise and mentor staff biologists and field teams.
• Lead field assessments, wetland delineations, and regulatory permit applications.
• Manage projects in energy, infrastructure, land development, and NEPA documentation.
• Act as liaison between agencies and clients to address compliance issues.
• Review invoices, expenditures, and conduct project audits with corporate accounting.
• Provide peer review for reports and environmental permits to maintain integrity.
