Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in process engineering with emphasis on energy management and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize energy-intensive processes within mining operations to improve efficiency and reduce consumption.
• Design and develop new process technologies and systems for energy recovery and utilization.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for proposed energy-saving initiatives.
• Prepare detailed process design packages, including P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specifications.
• Oversee the implementation and commissioning of new processes and equipment, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, metallurgists, and mechanical engineers, to ensure integrated solutions.
• Monitor process performance using data analytics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Ensure all process designs and operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
