Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in New York City seeks a Senior Associate Attorney for its Environment, Energy & Resources practice. You will lead major matters at the intersection of digital infrastructure and energy transition, drafting and negotiating agreements, and guiding clients through regulatory processes.

The role requires 6+ years in energy law, JD from an accredited law school, and admission to practice. You will mentor juniors, manage client relationships, and contribute to thought leadership

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings independently.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.
• Collaborative self-starter.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice (or eligible to waive in) to the jurisdiction of office location.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power transactions, drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs, focusing on PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, and CAISO.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and advise on compliance matters.
• Counsel clients on federal energy policy, renewable energy integration, and carbon-free energy procurement strategies.
• Participate in client relationship management and contribute to thought leadership in digital and energy infrastructure.
• Mentor associates within the practice group, ensuring excellence in work product and professional development.
