Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a senior associate attorney to lead matters in our Environment, Energy & Resources practice in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on data center power transactions, energy policy, and strategic advisory work with top partners.

You will mentor junior attorneys, manage complex transactions, and represent clients before the FERC, contributing to a robust and influential practice. JD required with bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings independently.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.
• Collaborative self-starter attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power transactions, drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design within RTOs/ISOs (PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO).
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and ensure compliance with market-based rate programs.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration strategies.
• Participate in client relationship management and contribute to thought leadership in energy infrastructure.
• Mentor associates within the practice group to ensure excellence in work product and professional development.
