Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a midlevel associate attorney to join its Environment, Energy & Resources practice in Washington, DC. The role focuses on regulatory and transactional energy work at the forefront of digital infrastructure and energy transition.

You will negotiate energy contracts, advise on electric market design within RTOs/ISOs, and represent clients before the FERC, with opportunities to shape policy and drive innovative energy solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in energy law with regulatory and transactional focus.
• Familiarity with the Federal Power Act and power market mechanics.
• Ability to draft bespoke energy contracts.
• Admitted to practice or eligible to waive into the jurisdiction of the office location.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Advise on electric market design within RTOs/ISOs.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration.
