Job summary

AECOM's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team in Northern California seeks a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy to lead project teams, prepare environmental documents, and drive permitting and entitlement work for energy developments. The hybrid role can be based in Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, or San Jose.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 6 years of experience or equivalent in electric transmission and renewable energy CEQA/NEPA documents, siting analysis and permitting.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work for CEQA/NEPA and other regs.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects.
• Provide project management on mid- to large-sized projects with schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Prepare environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects.
• Contribute to marketing and proposals as a seller-doer.
• Mentor staff and provide constructive feedback on tasks.
