Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in Northern California. This hybrid role is based in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco or San Jose offices and focuses on CEQA/NEPA for energy projects, with seller-doer responsibilities and client leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or a related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency in electric transmission and renewable energy through CEQA/NEPA documents, routing and siting analysis, and permitting.
• A valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work and support development of environmental documents and studies under CEQA/NEPA.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects and related infrastructure.
• Provide project management on mid- to large-sized projects with schedules, budgets, invoicing, and coordination with clients and subconsultants.
• Work on environmental documents and entitlements for energy sector projects.
• Contribute to marketing, proposals, and cost estimates as a seller-doer.
• Provide leadership in mentoring personnel and reviewing work for accuracy.
