Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team in Northern California. This hybrid role can be based out of Oakland, San Francisco, or Sacramento offices and focuses on energy projects including transmission, grid modernization, and renewables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in electric transmission and renewable energy CEQA/NEPA.
• Valid U.S. Driver's license required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work under CEQA/NEPA.
• Manage due diligence for siting energy projects and infrastructure.
• Provide project management: schedules, budgets, invoicing, client coordination.
• Develop environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects.
• Contribute to marketing, proposals, and seller-doer activities.
• Mentor personnel and review work for accuracy and clarity.
