Job summary

AECOM in Northern California seeks a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy to lead environmental planning and permitting projects with a focus on CEQA/NEPA for energy developments. This hybrid role can be based in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, or San Jose offices.

You will manage client relations, project teams, schedules, budgets, and proposals, mentor staff, and contribute to business development and marketing efforts for energy transmission, grid modernization, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
6 years of relevant experience in electric transmission or renewable energy CEQA/NEPA documentation.
A valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.
US Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Lead environmental planning and compliance work for CEQA/NEPA-related documents.
Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects.
Provide project management: schedules, budgets, invoicing, and coordination with clients and subconsultants.
Work on environmental documents and entitlements for energy sector projects.
Contribute to marketing and proposals as a seller-doer.
Mentor personnel and provide feedback on project tasks.
