AECOM invites a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager – Energy to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in Northern California. This hybrid role can be based in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, or San Jose, CA.

You will lead environmental planning and permitting for energy projects, manage project teams, and contribute to business development. A Bachelor’s degree and CEQA/NEPA experience are required, with US Citizenship and a valid driver’s license, in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency for CEQA/NEPA documents, routing and siting.
• Valid U.S. Driver's license required; US Citizenship required due to security.
• Strong understanding of CEQA/NEPA and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work for CEQA/NEPA.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects.
• Provide project management, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination.
• Develop environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects.
• Contribute to marketing and proposal development as a seller-doer.
• Mentor staff and review work for quality and clarity.
