Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy to join the Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team in Northern California. This hybrid role can be based out of San Diego, Orange or Los Angeles, CA offices, and will lead project teams to prepare environmental documents with a focus on permitting and entitlement for energy developers and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience in electric transmission and renewable energy CEQA/NEPA.
• US Citizenship and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental planning and compliance work for CEQA/NEPA studies.
• Manage early-stage due diligence for siting energy projects.
• Provide project management: schedules, budgets, invoicing, coordination with clients and staff.
• Work on environmental documents and entitlements for energy projects.
• Contribute to marketing and proposals as a seller-doer.
• Mentor personnel and provide constructive feedback on tasks.
