Job summary

Kawi Energy Group Corp in New York seeks an experienced energy engineering leader to supervise a team of engineers and drive energy-efficiency projects, HVAC integration, and smart-grid innovations across diverse buildings.

You will guide design, modeling, and field work, mentor juniors, ensure compliance with ASHRAE and LEED standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective energy solutions. Travel within the tri-state area is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, energy, or sustainability engineering preferred.
• OSHA-30 certification required within 6 months.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Certifications include CEM, CBCP, EBCP, CMVP, BEMP, LEED-AP.
• 7–10 years progressive engineering design experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE/IESNA codes and standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, eQUEST, EQUIP, TREAT, and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel in tri-state area; lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits and energy efficiency studies.
• Inspect and monitor energy systems including HVAC and daylighting.
• Review plans to evaluate energy performance and feasibility.
• Lead and mentor engineers and staff on energy projects.
• Develop energy models and perform verification and retro-commissioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement energy solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and design guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
