Job summary

ICF is seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to support DER project development for public sector facilities in the Phoenix metro area. The role involves field audits, decarbonization project scoping, M&V plan development, and coordination with customers and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualified candidates will have 8+ years in energy engineering, strong technical analysis, and experience with energy efficiency programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in energy engineering with a focus on custom project development and technical analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency outreach and on-site work.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Develop DER projects for public sector facilities in the Phoenix metro area.
• Perform field audits to document current operations and opportunities for energy efficiency.
• Lead identification, scoping, and development of decarbonization projects.
• Write and execute M&V plans to document baseline and measure case conditions.
• Forecast project activities to ensure timely and on-budget completion.
• Travel up to 30% for site visits and meetings in the Phoenix area.
