Job summary

ICF is seeking an Associate Director, Energy Consulting to lead energy efficiency, DER and decarbonization studies for US and Canadian clients. This role supports regulatory filings and program design across utilities and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with demonstrated interest in sustainability and energy efficiency.
• 8+ years of energy industry experience including energy consulting, energy management, DSM program studies, regulatory support and program design.
• Demonstrated experience with project and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy efficiency, electrification, DER and decarbonization studies and regulatory support for US/Canada utilities and agencies.
• Develop DER program strategies and value-based dispatch concepts.
• Model achievable potential for DER tech using benchmarking and Bass Diffusion curves.
• Design innovative DER program strategies.
• Conduct market research on energy efficiency technologies and adoption.
• Perform advanced energy saving calculations and economic analyses.
• Oversee market research and develop industry expertise on technologies.
• Support business development including writing proposals.
• Evaluate and benchmark program performance.
• Manage and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions.
• Prepare and present persuasive presentations and reports.
• Co-author reports and client deliverables, journal articles and white papers.
