Job summary

ICF International is seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to support renewables, decarbonization, energy efficiency, EVSE and electrification programs in Arizona. This remote role serves the Phoenix metro area with up to 30% local travel for site visits and events.

You will collaborate with customers, vendors and outreach staff to develop DER projects for public sector facilities, perform field audits, and lead custom decarbonization initiatives while ensuring budgets and timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Architectural Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of energy engineering experience focused on custom project development and tech analysis.
• 5+ years in energy efficiency outreach and on-site work.
• Drivers license and MVR check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop DER projects for public sector facilities in the Phoenix area.
• Perform field audits to document current operations and identify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Lead decarbonization and energy efficiency project scoping and development.
• Write and execute M&V plans documenting baseline and case conditions.
• Analyze and model energy performance using industry calculators.
• Provide QA for technical reviews and documentation.
