Job summary

ICF is expanding its energy and DER program teams to support renewables, decarbonization, and electrification initiatives in Arizona. The Lead Energy Engineer will coordinate with clients, vendors and internal teams to develop, scope and deliver DER projects for commercial and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities include field audits, technical analysis of energy savings, and authoring reports and M&V plans. Local travel and a strong background in energy programs are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Architectural Engineering or related discipline (or substitute one year of related experience for one year of education).
• 8+ years of experience in energy engineering with a focus on custom project development and technical analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency outreach and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Develop DER projects for public sector facilities in the Phoenix metro area.
• Perform field audits to document operations and identify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Lead scoping and development of decarbonization projects.
• Write and execute M&V plans to document baselines and savings.
• Forecast project activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Travel up to 30% for site visits and meetings.
