Job summary

Cascade Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer I with energy efficiency and retro-commissioning experience to lead and deliver high-impact projects for industrial and commercial facilities.

You will engage with clients at a senior level, gather data, build optimization models, and write feasibility reports while mentoring peers and ensuring quality. A strong background in energy systems and SEM is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field of study.
• ~5 – 8 years of engineering experience.
• ~ Expert technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, custom computer modeling of systems, electrical distribution system design, industrial control and data-logging of system results
• ~ Experience in energy efficiency in commercial and/or industrial facilities
• ~ Experience doing retro-commissioning (RCx)
• ~ Experience with Strategic Energy Management (SEM)
• Strong Project Management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage high-profile energy projects, maintaining accountability and mentoring peers through technical discussions and work review.
• Energy analysis and savings calculations using established tools, spreadsheets, and accepted methodologies.
• On-site client engagement & opportunity identification; visit facilities to identify energy-efficiency opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Data collection, reporting & program compliance; collect performance data, write project reports, and stay current with utility programs and compliance requirements.
