Job summary

Allogene Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to manage and support endpoint and workplace technology across Windows and macOS. The role covers security, patching, deployment, and lifecycle management in a Microsoft-centric environment.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused, and capable of Tier 3 escalation. The position offers remote or onsite work at South San Francisco offices, with a 6-month contract term and hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in desktop engineering and endpoint administration.
• Hands-on experience managing Windows and macOS devices in a Microsoft-centric enterprise.
• Experience with modern desktop management platforms and patch/vulnerability workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage endpoint lifecycle, device enrollment, provisioning, deployment, and retirement.
• Configure security baselines, encryption, and device restrictions.
• Lead software deployment and patch management across Windows and macOS.
• Support Microsoft 365 and identity-integrated workplace services.
• Provide onsite or remote support for South San Francisco/Newark offices as needed.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for complex endpoint, application, and connectivity issues.
• Develop automation and runbooks to improve efficiency.
