Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA seeks a Windows OS engineer to join the Modern Endpoint Workspace Team. You will help engineer, automate, secure, and evolve the enterprise Windows endpoint platform across provisioning, delivery, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities include automating provisioning with BigFix and MECM, developing with PowerShell and Python, and applying configuration as code. On-call rotation and hybrid on-site support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows 11 endpoint architecture in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with BigFix, MECM, Active Directory, and OS provisioning.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, encryption, and Windows security configuration.

Responsibilities

• Design automated endpoint provisioning and configuration workflows.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Plan rollout of Windows updates, drivers, and security changes.
• Monitor endpoint service health, compliance, and reliability metrics.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering escalation and root cause analysis.
• Maintain system documentation and SOPs.
