Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Specialist for Digital Workplace Services to design, implement, and support secure endpoint and workplace solutions. Lead technology roadmaps, drive automation, and partner with IT and business teams to align with business needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, advanced endpoint management, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in desktop, endpoint, or digital workplace engineering.
• Expert-level experience with SCCM/MECM, Group Policy, OS deployment, application packaging, deployment, scripting, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Amazon WorkSpaces, endpoint security, patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows endpoint configuration, Active Directory, hardware, networking, and cybersecurity practices.
• Proficiency with PowerShell or similar scripting and automation technologies.
• Experience leading complex technical projects, establishing standards, and mentoring staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of explaining technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, configs, and troubleshooting guides.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for desktop engineering, establishing standards, priorities, and roadmaps.
• Architect, deploy, and support enterprise endpoint solutions using SCCM/MECM, Intune, Group Policy, and related tools.
• Lead packaging, software deployment, OS deployment, imaging, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint compliance.
• Design secure endpoint configurations and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, identity, security, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor and resolve issues affecting Amazon WorkSpaces and related services.
• Use Nexthink and ControlUp to monitor endpoint health, build dashboards, and improve user experience.
• Develop automation, runbooks, and technical documentation using PowerShell, Graph, and Power Automate.
• Mentor engineering staff and promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead technology upgrades, migrations, and deployments within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Evaluate emerging workplace technologies and recommend improvements for security and reliability.
