Job summary

High Companies, based in Lancaster, PA, seeks a Client Computing Engineer to design and deploy end-user computing solutions across hardware, software, and operating systems. The role defines roll-out processes and supports Office 365/Microsoft 365, IAM, and related cloud services.

The engineer partners with IT Service Desk, Network, and Server teams to deliver scalable, secure client computing environments and provides tier-3 support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Service Desk, or a related field.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Messaging Administrator Associate, Windows Virtual Desktop Specialty preferred not required
• 8+ years of recent experience designing and implementing client computing related solutions (technology, infrastructure, tools, and services). Experience in 365 Services, Active Directory (including AAD) operations and group policy, InTune for MDM/MAM and configuration management, AAD SSO integrations, software packaging processes and technology, workstation imaging processes and technology (MDT), scripting with PowerShell, Azure AD including Enterprise Applications, Conditional Access, Self Service Password Reset, packaging and deployment solutions, security controls such as MFA, SSO/Federation, EDR, anti-malware, disk encryption, migrating to Microsoft365/O365, implementing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop services, LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless, incident/problem/change management, project management and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design future end user computing solutions including hardware, operating systems, security hardening, virtualization, deployment approaches, and related support processes.
• Design, deploy and support 365 Services including Teams, Exchange Server/Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, EMS, Azure, Active Directory, AAD, Configuration Manager, InTune, etc.
• Work with IT Service Desk, Network and Server to advise on 365 Services and integration into environments.
• Serve as level three support for issues escalated through the IT Service Desk and lead root-cause analysis.
• Act as principal designer for IT Service Desk related solution architectures.
• Lead/gather requirements and implement IT Service Desk solutions to meet business objectives.
• Contribute to multi-year roadmaps and develop best-practice standards, policies, and training plans.
• Provide 24x7x365 response after hours for critical IT incidents when on-call.
• Periodically work off hours for planned operations or projects.
