Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Chicago area litigation team. The role focuses on plaintiff-side wage-and-hour and complex employment/class actions, with leadership in all phases of civil litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Candidates must have a J.D. and 8+ years of civil litigation experience, with strong deposition, discovery, and motion-practice skills, and be licensed in Illinois or California or eligible for admission.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience with employment litigation, wage-and-hour claims, class actions, PAGA matters, or other complex litigation preferred.
• Licensed to practice in California or Illinois, or eligible for admission in CA/IL.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation from start to finish.
• Develop and implement written discovery and discovery strategy.
• Engage in motion practice and court appearances; provide oral advocacy.
• Take and defend depositions; manage case alongside clients.
• Oversee case management and maintain client interactions.
