Job summary

Lawyers for Justice in Chicago seeks a seasoned attorney to join our wage-and-hour and class action litigation team. The Chicago-Attorney will represent clients in state and federal actions, manage an active caseload, conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and argue motions in court.

The ideal candidate is licensed to practice law in California or Chicago with 5+ years of civil litigation experience, strong oral advocacy, and a commitment to achieving strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California or Chicago.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience, including discovery, oral advocacy, and court appearances.
• Experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage-and-hour cases a plus.
• Must be able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active civil litigation caseload across wage-and-hour matters.
• Conduct and respond to discovery and take/defend depositions.
• Draft and argue motions; appear in court for hearings and trial.
• Advise clients throughout the litigation process.
