Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced employment litigator to lead defense matters through resolution across wage-hour disputes and class or collective actions for employers. The role includes supervising attorneys and staff, guiding litigation strategy, and representing clients in state and federal courts and before agencies.

Hybrid work arrangement in Los Angeles and San Francisco; California and New Jersey bar admissions required depending on office location.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in employment litigation defense.
• Active California admission for the California offices or New Jersey admission for Hackensack.
• Substantial wage and hour and employment class action experience.
• Demonstrated attorney supervision, leadership, and client management skills.
• Strong state and federal litigation experience, writing, and advocacy.
• Portable business is welcome but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead employment defense matters through resolution, including wage and hour disputes and single-plaintiff and class or collective actions.
• Supervise attorneys and legal staff, guide litigation strategy, and maintain quality across an active docket.
• Represent employers in state and federal courts and before employment agencies.
• Counsel clients on workplace issues and risk management.
• Support client development and collaborate with other practice groups.
