Job summary

Jobot partners with a national law firm to hire employment litigators across experience levels in Fort Lauderdale and other locations. The role focuses on defending employers in workplace disputes, with ownership of cases, direct client contact, and collaboration with senior litigators to grow your practice.

Active Florida or California admission is required, with 3–4+ years of employment or related litigation in Florida or 4+ years in other offices.

Qualifications

• Active California or Florida admission for the selected office.
• San Francisco: 4+ years of litigation experience; labor and employment, professional liability, and/or commercial litigation experience preferred.
• Florida: approximately 3–4+ years of litigation experience in employment, professional liability, and/or HOA matters.
• Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, organization, and independent case management skills.
• Legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability work are especially valued in San Francisco. Florida candidates should bring deposition, motion practice, and court appearance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage defense litigation from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, substantive motions, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Develop case strategy, prepare cases for trial, and provide timely client updates.
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across practice groups.
