Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Employment Counsel to provide day-to-day employment law counseling and compliance for a global workforce of about 5,000 employees in 20 countries. The role covers employment agreements, HR compliance, and AI tool deployment within the People team.

You will handle performance management, disciplinary matters, and exits while coordinating with outside counsel on litigation and regulatory issues. A J.D.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. with active U.S. state bar membership and 5+ years of employment law experience.
• In-house experience advising HR on performance management, disciplinary matters, and exits.
• Experience advising on international employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience with employment litigation, EEOC/OFCCP matters, and disclosures.
• Knowledge of AI tools in recruiting and HR and related regulatory considerations.

Aufgaben

• Own a counseling portfolio on performance management, disciplinary processes, accommodations, policy questions, and exits.
• Advise on international employment across 20-country footprint with local counsel and HR.
• Review employment agreements, offers, separations, and relocation letters.
• Drive compliance for AI deployments in hiring and HR under regulatory framework.
• Support HR compliance programs including pay equity and OFCCP obligations.
• Assist with litigation holds, discovery, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Monitor developments in employment law and translate into practical guidance.
