Job summary

UKG is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR partners, guiding on performance management, workplace conduct, disciplinary actions, and employment separations. The role requires strong ER judgment, independent thinking, and the ability to navigate sensitive matters while balancing business needs and employee experience.

You will partner with Legal, Investigations, and HRBPs to ensure policy consistency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, including independent management of ER matters (performance, conduct, corrective actions, separations).
• Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR policies.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting ER in large, complex or dispersed organizations.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, evaluate information, and make practical recommendations.
• Strong consultation, communication, and influencing skills with leaders.
• Excellent organizational and case management skills with multiple priorities.
• Experience partnering with HRBPs, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience using ER data to identify trends and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage employee relations matters from intake through resolution, including performance concerns, workplace conduct, disciplinary actions, and separations.
• Advise managers and HRBPs on performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Coach leaders on effective performance management and difficult conversations.
• Partner with Legal, Investigations, HRBPs and stakeholders to handle sensitive matters and ensure policy consistency.
• Support ER activities during organizational changes, restructures, and workforce reductions.
• Identify ER trends and opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
• Contribute to ER tools, templates, and data-driven improvements.
