Job summary

Acrisure in San Francisco is seeking a Sr. Benefits Account Manager to support a portfolio of employee benefits clients. You will apply core insurance principles, develop coverage strategies, and manage complex accounts with senior-level clients.

This role requires strong relationship management, deep knowledge of health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, and licensure. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience servicing benefit clients, an L&H license, and excellence in client

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to grammar and professionalism.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
• Deep understanding of employee benefits concepts, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and related regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts with diplomacy and strategic thinking.
• Proven track record delivering strategic benefit plan recommendations and client advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for a portfolio of employee benefits clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; understand goals and challenges.
• Conduct regular meetings to review benefit programs and improvements.
• Provide strategic advice on health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans.
• Analyze current benefit programs and recommend enhancements.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting benefits.
• Collaborate with carriers and vendors on plan terms and pricing.
• Oversee implementation of new plans and ensure smooth transitions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Guide clients on ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, 125 plans, SPD, FSA, HRA, 5500 filing, COBRA.
• Assist with enrollment, claims, and employee communications.
• Educate clients and employees on plan options and changes.
• Prepare communications materials for clients and staff.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with sales, underwriting, and service teams.
• Coordinate pre-renewal strategy and present renewals for designated accounts.
